BOTANICAL PAINTING
Inspired by May Morris
Join botanical artist Rebecca Christian for a workshop exploring gouache through the study of nature-inspired design, drawing on the Arts & Crafts principles found in the work of May Morris, daughter of William Morris.
Participants will be introduced to essential materials and guided through the process of painting with gouache. The session focuses on careful observation of nature, tonal shading, attention to detail, and thoughtful design.
The emphasis is on process—developing confidence with materials and techniques—rather than achieving a finished or perfect result.
Suitable for beginners and those looking to refine their use of gouache.
All basic materials are provided. Participants are welcome to bring their own equipment if preferred.
